Project Description

Created in collaboration with Kalas, the series of jerseys was designed for Cure Leukemia's London to Paris cycling event taking place over four days. Each of the four jerseys is inspired by the six-day jerseys worn by the track riders and incorporating the flag/crest of the destination town for that day. This was designed to inspire the riders towards that days' destination. The project spans two years of the event, 2019 and 2020, which unfortunately didn't take place due to the pandemic.

Process

The jerseys are a marker of each day of the event, with a distinct design for each stage. The design takes cues from the town or city that the riders are riding towards to help push the riders through the difficult times, and onwards to their destination for the evening. Inspired by the traditional 6 Day cycling jerseys the number of each day is placed on the arms, along with a blocky design which reflects the classic 6 Day jersey. Proudly displaying the crest on the riders chest, and supported by the sponsors, each jersey is a special piece of memorabilia for the riders to take home with them.
